Japan’s first and world’s most advanced urban-type circular ropeway “YOKOHAMA AIR CABIN” creates a new kind of attraction at Yokohama Minato Mirai as a tourism promotion facility that connects the front of JR Sakuragichō Station and Unga Park in the Shinko District with a cityscape view above the city.
We create safe, comfortable, enjoyable facilities, with the station building and cabins developed under the direction of Ms. Motoko Ishii, a world-famous lighting designer and lighting performance planner.
All cabins are barrier-free and equipped with state-of-the-art functions, combining SENYO’s unique know-how and technology across a wide range of fields, including ventilation systems by natural circulation of air, air cooling systems with the latest battery solutions, safety monitoring systems, and lighting performance using full color LEDs.
“Sakuragi-cho Station” is located just in front of JR Sakuragichō Station. Transport yourself effortlessly to “Unga Park Station” in the Shinko District by YOKOHAMA AIR CABIN while enjoying the cityscape view of Minato Mirai, including Yokohama Cosmo World, World Porters, HAMMERHEAD, and Aka-Renga Sōko Park(Red Brick Warehouse).
The station buildings offer a friendly barrier-free design, and at night welcomes visitors with images that differ from daytime with illumination and visual effects inside the station buildings.
